Since the early 1970s I have been practicing and teaching people mindfulness-based practices. The mindfulness-based work has allowed me to address many situations of helping people to heal, as well as positively expanding specific practices in their lives.

Some of the healing work has included helping people reduce symptoms from IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and in some cases eliminate the need for medication; pain management and chronic pain management; reduction of anxiety, sleep issues, etc.

Some of these positive changes include reducing stress for students in test taking as well as enhancing their concentration and ability to focus; for habit control issues, better athletic performance, etc.

Some of the creative work has included working with students to enhance their imaginative abilities, especially in the areas of language arts and other artistic and creative endeavors.
