Hi, I’m Dana Michie. My integrative approach to healing focuses on empowering you, my client. I believe that the journey to wellness resides within one’s self, and that my goal is to help you identify the changes you want to make for a happy and productive life. I work to help you develop tools and skills in order to achieve those changes. Through the psychotherapeutic and creative processes for personal growth, self-discovery, and empowerment, I will guide you along the path of healing.
I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a Certified Teacher, and a Registered Poetry Therapist. I am the former director of a partial hospital program that treats women with eating disorders. I hold a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley, a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Fairfield University, as well as a Masters in Education. Additionally, I have studied and taught meditation and mindfulness practices since the 1970’s, and I am a graduate of the School of Transcendental Meditation.
